Babys First Year

I just finished an album for a client and it was so nice to see the mom’s reaction when she looked at it!   This is the second album I have done for this client.  Her older daughter was one of the first babies to do my Baby’s First Year sessions and she is still one of my favorite kids to photograph!  I thought I would share 2

Outdoor portraits

It’s that time of year again…outdoor portraits at Emily Murphy Park!   I actually took this photo last summer but I wanted to share it because its another one of my favorites.  I love how the light is going across the scene and just lighting him enough to give the photo some depth.  Enjoy!

Feature Photographer in Birth Issues Magazine

Watch for the June issue of Birth Issues magazine where I will be the feature photographer!  This issue is all about breastfeeding.  I took this portrait just last week and submitted it to be the cover photo.  Not sure if it made the publishers deadline so I thought I would share it everyone here.

Outdoor Portraits

May is just around the corner and soon my weekends will be filled with outdoor portrait sessions!  I do most of my sessions at Emily Murphy Park and it is the perfect place to do portraits of kids.  There are lots of nice spots and I am often able to let “kids be kids” and capture them being themselves.  This portrait is one of my all time favorites.

Maternity Portraits

This photo is one of my favorite maternity portraits.   I met this client about 8 years ago when I did her wedding portraits.  When I decided to specialize in baby and maternity photography 6 years ago, she was one of my first clients.  Since then I have had the pleasure of photographing both of her children and capturing their “Baby’s First Year”. Kid Friendly Business Alliance Birth Baby and Family Fair

The Birth, Baby and Family Fair sponsored by my business group - Edmonton’s Kid Friendly Business Alliance (KFBA) was held yesterday and it was a hit! 

Approx. 200 people came out to the show and it was a great opportunity for people to learn about these wonderful businesses dedicated to serving the needs of Edmonton and area families.

Kid Friendly Business Alliance Baby Fair

I am very proud to be a member of Edmonton’s Kid Friendly Business Alliance.  The KFBA is a business networking group for small business owners who are dedicated to serving the needs of young families.

 On Sunday, April 13th we will be holding our annual Birth, Baby and Family Fair at the Royal Inn West Edmonton from 10:00 to 3:00.  Come check it out!

Another Favorite

The little guy is one of my very first baby clients.  Over the last few years, I have done about 10 photo sessions for them and it is always lots of fun!

I love this photo because it really captures him.  I love how his parents are in the background, just enjoying the moment.  Luckily I was fast enough to take this photo before he ran off again!

One of my favorites

I thought I would post this photo because it is one of my all time favorites.  I took this photo at Josephine’s Welcome Baby session in July 2006.  I was designing her Babys First Year album this morning so I had a chance to go back and look at all of the photos I did of her during that year.  Out of 4 photo sessions and over 200 photos, this is my favorite.
