School is officially over for another year and I find myself wondering where that year went!

My daughter finished grade 3 and my son is off to junior high next year and it makes me a little sad to think his days in elementary, where school is still “fun” are over.

We are very fortunate to have had both our kids go through grade 3 with the same teacher.  Mrs G is an amazing teacher and with both kids school years, she helped them create some amazing art.  Those 7 years went by so fast, I am feeling very blessed that I took the time and spent the money to have my favorites professionally framed.  I have several pieces from both of my children’s grade 3 years, proudly displayed in our home.

Here is a set of 4 prints that my son did in his grade 3 year.  If you have something like this tucked away in a drawer or keepsake box, maybe think about pulling it out and getting it framed.  Every time I look at these pieces I get a smile on my face!

I am starting my outdoor sessions next week and couldn’t be happier! I tend to focus my marketing towards the maternity and newborn photo sessions but really I specialize in maternity, baby and children’s photography. I thought I would post a quick slideshow that shows one of my “KIDS BEING KIDS” photo sessions. The little girl in the slideshow is one of my original baby portrait clients and both her and her brother did all four of the BABYS FIRST YEAR SESSIONS. They will be back again in the summer to do their annual outdoor session AND to introduce me to their new baby brother or sister! How great is that! Enjoy the slideshow!

Thank you to all the clients who came to see me in 2010. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and may all your dreams and goals happen for you in 2011. Lorena

We really enjoyed our daughter’s “Baby’s 1st Year” photo sessions. No matter what mood Jenna was in, Lorena was able to capture some amazing shots of the little squirt. Some of the sessions were rather challenging as Jenna was in no mood to smile, but every single time we viewed our proofs online, we were pleasantly surprised with the results! And then we received our beautiful leather album… I cried as I went through it page by page – what a beautiful story it told. What an amazing job she did! It was astonishing to look through and see the changes in Jenna in just one short year. And the captions used throughout the album brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for the wonderful memories!
