This gorgeous little man came to see me for his newborn portraits last week when he was only 8 days old.
It took us almost an hour to get him to go to sleep but once he did, he slept like a champion for almost 2 hours!
This cute little knitted “nest” arrived last week…just in time for this session. Whenever I use props I really like to go with things that have lots of texture. I LOVE the look of a rough texture contrasting with a beautiful newborn baby. Enjoy!

Its been almost a year and a half since I started incorporating props into my newborn baby portrait sessions. It has been lots of fun trying to find props that work with my style of baby photography.
This little one came to see me about a month ago. I have been using the box for a while now but I decided to try something different and drap a funky rug I had over the box. I LOVE the look of the rug hanging like this. Enjoy!

I get calls all the time from potential maternity portrait or baby portrait clients, asking what my prices are. So, I thought I would do a quick blog post outlining the prices.
All of my portrait sitting fees are $125.00. I do have a special offer for maternity clients. If they prepay for their newborn photo session, their maternity session is half price! So, the session fee for both sessions is $187.50. Here is what you get!
Pre-pay for your newborn portrait session and receive your Maternity portrait session at half price!
- Full Pregnancy Photography session – the session is 1.5 hours long and approx. 75-100 maternity portraits will be taken during your session
- Full Newborn portrait session – you have your choice of doing either my newborn photo session (NEW ARRIVALS) when your baby is between 7 and 10 days old, OR my Welcome Baby portrait session, when your baby is older than 10 days old.
- All images are professionally reviewed and edited for you so have only the best images from your session to choose from
- Approx. 1 week after your newborn photo session, I will meet with you to show you your portraits. During our meeting we will review all of the images, choose your favorites from the session and I will show you some albums, framing options, etc. You and your spouse can then go home and talk about what you would like to order and what works within your budget.
- Clients have the option of ordering reprints, albums and/or buying a dvd of all the digital files from your session
Please Note: Newborn sessions can take up to 3 hours to do. I will also spend an additional 2 hours editing the images from your session. Therefore, due to the amount of time invested to produce your portraits, there is a minimum reprint order of $400 for the newborn photo session.

This beautiful little lady came for her newborn portrait session a couple weeks ago. She did amazing…we got so many great portraits of her it was hard to decide which one to post on the blog!
I love everything about this newborn photo…how the textures change as you look at the portrait…from the rough texture of the basket, to the soft white blanket, then back to the texture of the newborn hat and then the look of the newborn baby’s face.
