This photo was taken at my first NEW ARRIVALS photo session and I love it! This baby is only 9 days old and we had so much fun doing her portraits!

You can really see the contrast between the babies soft skin and the texture of the hat and background.

I am SO excited to share portraits from my first newborn baby model call! This client is one of my favorites…very sweet and SO happy to be a mommy! I am thrilled that her daughter was my first ever “NEW ARRIVALS” baby client!

Newborn Baby Model Call

Are you expecting a baby or know someone who is?

I am looking for newborn babies between the ages of 3 to 10 days old to photograph for the new style of photography I will now be offering….”New Arrivals”.

There is no session fee to participate and all participating families will receive an 11×14 of their favorite portrait. In exchange, you will sign a model release allowing me to use the photos taken at your session for my portfolio, advertising, etc. In addition, once I have completed all the New Arrivals photo sessions, I will be having a baby photo contest of all the babies involved. We will have some great prizes for the top 3 winners!

“New Arrivals” – Newborns as Art

I have specialized in baby photography for 8 years now and I still love it. “Baby posing” is something I have been interested in for a while now and so a couple of months ago I made the decision to go to Toronto and do a workshop. I wanted to see if this style of photography was something that I would enjoy doing and if I could work it into the style of photography that I do.

The workshop was great and I love the look of the textured backgrounds that contrast against the baby’s soft skin! It was also interesting for me to work with the lighter backgrounds as I have always shot against a black backdrop. So, I have spent the last few days buying props, newborn hats, beautiful blankets, and new backdrops to start my latest venture…. New Arrivals. Click and enjoy some of the portraits I took in Toronto.
