Family Friendly Business Alliance

BACKGROUND
In March 2006, a group of business owners in Edmonton decided to establish a business networking group for small business owners whose primary clients were new parents and couples with young children. This networking group was called the Kid Friendly Business Alliance (KFBA).

In October of 2009, members decided that a name change was needed in order to broaden the scope of the businesses we were recruiting as well as the clients we were trying to reach. As a result, in November 2009, the business group name was officially changed to Family Friendly Business Alliance (FFBA).

GENERAL INFORMATION
The main goal of the FFBA is to help members meet and establish relationships with other small business owners. The mission statement for the Family Friendly Business Alliance (FFBA) is:

“Committed to fostering strong and lasting business relationships with businesses that are dedicated to serving the needs of families, in an ethical and responsible manner.”

In addition, our goals are:
- to work as a group to develop ideas for reaching new clients, and
- to cross-promote our businesses by introducing our existing to clients to other members within the group.
- to educate Edmonton and area families about our members and the services they provide.
