During a maternity session yesterday, I asked the couple if they knew what they were going to name the baby.  They said Edson because that was where they met and Athelia because it was a name in her family for 3 generations.  LOVED both names and it got me wondering…do most of us name our children because we have a connection to the name or is it that we pick a name we like?  In our case, we named my son Kent because that is my dad’s surname.  With my daughter we picked Samantha because it was the only name we could agree on!   What about you guys…any stories about why you named your children what you did?
