This little lady came to see me for her newborn portrait session when she was only 12 days old.

She did amazing!  I had just finished doing some shots of her wearing one of my cute baby hats and was setting up to do some baby portraits of her lying naked on her belly.  As I was moving her, she reached over and held on to her toes.

I have been doing baby photography here in Edmonton for almost 10 years now and I have never seen a newborn do this before!  Usually babies start holding on to their toes around 4 month – I see it all the time at my “Precious Parts” sessions so it was really surprising to see this new little baby grab her own toe and then hold on to it for a few seconds.  I was able to get 2 portraits of it for the parents.  Enjoy!
