    Kids Being Kids – Outdoor family portraits

    I was going through some of the sessions I did in 2011 and trying to find my favorites of the year and this one definately is up there!

    All 3 of these kids have been Babys First Year clients - babies who come to see me every 4 months to capture their first year.  I am really fortunate because their parents still come every years to see me for their family portrait sessions!

    This shot was taken at the end of the session – can you tell!

    Thought I would share this for anyone who has ever gone through all the work it takes to get family portraits done!

    I once had a dad tell me he wished that one year I would go to their home and do portraits of the “gong show”  BEFORE they left the house to come for portraits.  He insisted THAT was the family portrait he would send out with their Christmas cards!  :)

    Boudoir Photography ?

    Super excited about my new business venture…heading to the USA  in January to learn all about Boudoir Photography!

    I have always had an interest in doing Boudoir photography but never really had the time to pursue it.   I love doing maternity portraits and I always say that I do cute maternity portraits and artistic maternity portraits and now its time to try my hand at sexy maternity portraits!

    Also, I am coming up on my 10th year of specializing in maternity portraits and baby photography.  I still love it but this just seems like a natural progression for me.  That, and it’s time to try something new!

    So, watch for details…I will be doing a model call in January (just in time for Valentines Day !) and will be looking for ladies who would like to do boudoir sessions – free sessions and portraits for helping me build up a portfolio!

    Now all I have to do is come up with a new business name for the Boudoir photography! :)

    Christmas Baby! – Edmonton baby photographers

    November and December is such a fun time to do newborn portraits because I get to work in Christmas to all my baby portrait sessions!

    This little guy came to see me a couple of weeks ago for his New Arrivals portrait session.  He was only 8 days old and he did amazing.  I got so many wonderful newborn portraits of him, I will definately be sharing them over the next couple of weeks.  Enjoy!

    New Products – Photo CD Cases for Digital Files

    Super excited to show some of the new products I will be offering in 2012!

    I have been looking for a while now for a product that would hold the dvd of the digital files.  These gorgeous cd cases are made of tin and can have a photo printed right on them!  I have done up 2 samples to give clients an idea as to what they look like.

    The first photo cd case cover was actually the birth announcement that I designed for the client.  The card was white but of course now takes on the look of the tin.

    This case has a grunge background with the client’s favorite portrait from her newborn photo session.   LOVE this look and we have added her baby’s birth information as well to really personalize the case.

    Lots of different options!  With Christmas coming this is a perfect gift for Grandma and Grandpa – give them a copy of all the portraits we have done to date or just your favorites and then put them cd in this beautiful case!
