Storyboards are a wonderful way to do a collage of your favorite portraits from your newborn or baby photography sessions. This storyboard is a 20×20 mounted as a gallery wrap canvas. This little lady was 4 months old when she came for her PRECIOUS PARTS photo session.
When creating storyboards, I try to use the client’s favorite portraits but also use only portraits that work together visually. One thing I see all the time is clients wanting too many images in the storyboard and/or they want to include 1 or 2 photos that just don’t work with the others. A good general rule – when in doubt, use less than more!
There are all kinds of framing options when it comes to storyboards – This sample was done as a Gallery Wrap canvas so the artwork had a 2 inch wrap which makes for a stunning piece on your walls. Other framing options:
- Canvas wraps are printed on archival canvas, stretched onto 3/4 inch wood frame and protected with a special laminate designed to protect your canvas from dust and scratches.
- Wall Tiles – Prints are professionally mounted and then permanently sealed with a UV blocking laminate. The edges of the wall tiles are bevelled with a black edge with a deep profile
- Professionally Framed – Storyboards are professionally framed with a black matte, white v-groove to give the piece a double-matte look without the extra cost, and your choice of a black metal or contemporary wood frame
